Daaen brought some friends up to meet Madeline and we had a great lunch at Sams on the Gulf of Mexico
Even Madeline had a bite to eat. This is our favorite gadget for her. She can eat fruit without chewing! Here she eating a banana with her new tooth! Papa Ricardo took Madeline out for a swing at the playground on the beach. They both had a great time!
We are in Florida this week visiting Granny and Grandpa Ricardo. No pics yet (because we left our memory card for the digital camera at home....bad mommy bad packing!). But rest assured we will get on that right away.
However...we have one piece of news (sans pic) for you all...
Madeline officially has a tooth. It has been cutting through for about 2 months now but finally last night we realized why the last week of sleep was, well..non existent. A sharp little top of a tooth has poked out. Bottom left.
We are going out for steak and ribs or maybe let her open a can of green beans to let her practice with it :)
We took Madeline to her first swim class today. No action pics, because we wanted to focus on the class- but some cute pre-pics in her swimsuit!
She was afraid of the instructor at first but loves the water. kick kick kick! She went underwater about 5-6 times and we cant wait to take her back next week!
She has had a cough and cold for a few days now and...Neurotic me..i was making sure those ears were so dry so she wouldnt get her first (dreaded) ear infection, and washing all the chlorine water off of her- but i think it actually helped her feel better!
She was so excited to get into the shower when we got home and it is good practice for her to be around other adults and start getting over her "stranger anxiety" thing
So she loves these easter eggs. mostly she likes to eat them, scrape them on her tongue and lick the outsides... but she loves them all the same. Now that she is sitting up more and more i have been propping her in the boppy pillow b/s when she tips over she won't hit her head. i got a kick out of watching her learn to reach for things and lots of times she will lunge forward if she drops something, while seated, and tries to crawl to it. (she crawls backwards only, but she is moving!).
I thought I'd get such a video but instead she just decided it wasnt worth her time! My favorite is how she shakes her head "oh no...not again" when she drops the egss in the beginning. And then how she smiles and lays back when she realizes she does not feel like crawling to them- its just too darn hard! What a little personality, right?!
I added some pics to the filoli gardens post. (Sometimes i sneak back and add a few pics as a special treat to repeat viewers. A few of you clever cats have caught on but for those of you who check once only i thought i'd let you know!) ;) xoxo
