Smithsonian zoo

we loved seeing the anteater, seal lions, lions, prairie dogs and turtles at the zoo last week with our friends the Wongs.




and then just relaxing at home after a very full day in DC traffic.

Bennett is just hanging out. he is up to 12.5 lbs at is 9 week and dr says he keeps mistaking him for a 4 month old the way he sits up and looks around, laughs and babbles. He is getting over his shots from yesterday but in much better spirits. they knocked him out yesterday.


rachael is going to kill me for posting this but it was too funny since its so out of character for these 3 stooges. Madeline, Benjamin and Eliana waiting to make pizzas at the mommy and me event last week.

Granny's day

We went to florida for mother's day weekend and got to spend a little time with Granny Dorothy and Papa Ric.
Its always great to see my dad and catch up on all the news in Bob Dylan's life and the world of Reggae LOL
dad- we loved spending time with you both and hope you make it up here where its green real soon!

Granny got out of the house for a beachside brunch with us and despite the fact that nothing on the menu was dairy free for madeline, the meal was awesome. LOL granny wore a wool sweater and blazer- dad said she looked like a real estate agent all of a sudden- we were all in shorts and t shirts ;)

Then i got to take Madeline out for italian ice and the boys stayed at the hotel. It was a great mother's day treat.

she is just getting to be such a big girl.

1-7 and smiles again

madeline has really begun counting this month. She loves to 'count' to 20 but it sounds more like "ten, 11, 12, firteen,18, 26" . She can however count out loud to 10 and count up to ten objects. After that she jumps around but here's a little clip of counting clementines.

Bennett- well- he's just a cuddly smiler. Still working on getting a clip of his 'talking' to us. He is really trying to make so many sounds- i think its bc he hears madeline and i talking all day and he wants to be heard too!
