(ok, so honestly, ours are chocolate and madeline’s is nori- she loves the stuff!)
then there was school…
Madeline’s class had a ‘wear and eat things that are red and pink’ day. strawberries, raspberries, cookies, cupcakes and a sea of hearts!
even the little brothers were included in the fun!

nothing says love like your first initial made outta sausage…
I baked homemade pop tarts for the kids’ surprise breakfast
we made cookies for friends and neighbors
everyone got to decorate some for their friends and eat one for dessert!

We went on a food tour beginning with Tartine’s bread pudding, lattes and chocolate croissants and ending with sibby’s cupcakes, Romolo’s cannolis and in between an incredible feasting adventure!

We got to spend lots of time with Uncle Jason, Nana and Papa and were thrilled to also get to spend time with Eve and Arjun at Tricia’s house, Allie and Jeremy, Jordanna and Olivia, Hayden, Chris and Shane, Adrienne and the gang- Howard, Lila and Carter, and even a few date nights for mom and dad.

everyone needs a little pick me up now and then- lol
date night for mom and dad too! we stayed at the Omni together – nice bathrobes! kids stayed with nana and papa overnight. dinner in japantown and an awesome walk through sf that night.

We cant wait to go back. and not only because we came home to a blizzard and a power outage
thank goodness for a warm hotel for our first night home
and a friends and a family sleepover our second night!
