19 weeks
Well, the midwife felt the baby kick in our office visit today. That makes 4 people who have felt these kicks (me, don and madeline being the first 3 since the baby likes to whack her when she is on my belly in the Ergo Carrier)
His/her heartbeat is strong and everything is measuring just right.
We got our orders to schedule the next ultrasound! Yes folks- that means we will have a pronoun to use very soon!

October Catch Up
Its Autumn on Auburn Avenue! We love the leaves (except of course we have to buy a rake!)
the video does not do the colors justice- you should visit! we have a great guestroom!
Family Pumpkin Picking
We have been to California to see the Vicks, Jason, the Wongs, the Chabuls, Mittras, Ray-Yorros, Ben, the Abrams, Alissa and Zachary and the Flowers, and eat San Francisco delights. Then we went to Louisianna to say goodbye to Grandma Frances Mann and to spend time with The Mann clan down south. All of this since my last post. Also, Madeline's cousin Dimitri turned 4 and she has learned about the little girl obsession with princesses and all things frilly thanks to our good friends Rachael and Elianna.
The leaves have begun changing in our neighborhood and Uncle Deedge came to
visit and carved pumpkins! Then Don and I took her to the ultimate pumpkin
farm this afternoon. Here are a few of the pics I have accumulated over the past 3 weeks.
I hope to get more, and vids up too.

getting ready for the big day
Pics from yesterday when she was just ONE! 
Madeline was so excited for the big day today- she had so much to say but i can only get one video uploaded right now
...I hope i'll get some more bday pics/vids up asap.
Madeline had a wonderful day- balloons in her room when she woke up, presents trickled in a few times today, she got to bring a treat to school today and we brought "ice cream" its italian ices- but she doesnt know! and in a few minutes, the neighbors are bringing their kids over for takeout and milk free cupcakes that are SO much better than her 1st bday ones i made without sugar. mmmm sugar. she sang happy bday throughout the day, got to wear a bday crown and in general has been tickled pink all day. we did not give her chocolate at her behest but other than that, i think her wishes all came true. The house looks like strawberry shortcake threw up (tablecloth, balloons etc) and we have had tea parties a thousand times but we can put up with it till tonight :)
madeline is TWO! and on her way to school :)

I know several of you have asked to see house pics so i will oblige but i warn you- there has been little to no decorating so far as we still have boxes to unpack etc. But this will at least give you a sense of the layout.
oh- and a bare bottom madeline appears in many pics too so thats a plus :)

Late aug pics
Here are a few quick pics from madeline's adventures these past few weeks
but before: here are the most popular things you'll hear her say around the house:
"No thank you, welcome" (when she doesnt want something)
"Perfect" or "georgeous" (when she likes something or how it looks)
"Soon...Twenty-sixth" (to answer the question: when is your birthday)
When asked "what do you thin re your new house?" she says "gigantic!"
Grandma rose said "im going to take you to the toy store" and Madeline
replied "Madeline Grandma rose's sweet girl" (thanks grandma :)
(... and yes she actually does speak in short sentences but these are her key words this week and they dont quite illustrate that skill"

On her newly inherited rocking horse made my her great grandfather Kevin Smith. he never met her before her passed away but aunt margaret saved this horse for her. thank you.
We have had so many wonderful visits with Grandma Maury and with Grandma Rose and Grandaddy Bill but unfortunately mommy is brain dead (the fetus is sucking my brains out i'm sure) and did not take any pictures! Im sorry guys!
Thank you so much to the Manns for the incredible help moving in- here is a pic of our new dining room, table compliments of Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob- a belated wedding gift- As madeline would say "perfect"!
