liquid nitrogen birthday!
Madeline's classmate, Zachary's dad is a scientist at NIH. He comes in once a month (and this time came on Madeline's birthday) and does hands-on science with the kids (Mr Dan the science man) and this week it was well... you'll see...
The kids got to touch the bubbles created from submerging dry ice into warm water.
They got to dance in the evaporate created when spilling liquid nitrogen on the floor and it instantly turns to gas.
Then he took a rubber tubing piece and placed it in liquid nitrogen for 2 minutes then smashed it on the table and it broke into pieces. Then after a few minutes, the kids were able to touch the tube and it was soft again!
this is the 3 year old program. what will he do next year?!!
Then she got to do her presentation of her "all about me" box in her class.
what a day to be 4.

What a great presentation. The giraffe boots on Madeline's classmate are a hoot.
