Recliner!

Don's mom and dad got us the best recliner.
We have searched high and low, far and wide
for one that was comfy and sturdy.
and after all sorts of trials and tribulations
we have it and here it is!
Dutailier. a name we can trust
(at least for a year warranty!!!)
in comfy beige chenille
(any ideas for keeping it clean? they
won't scotchguard..)

There she is
Our double-wide.
Now we are ready for the baby.
Thanks guys!

Dad came to visit!

Dad came to visit and I took him to work with me...
Here are some of my interns...being tough.

So I decided to show them who is the toughest...and enter the
pie-eating contest.
Yeah..
great idea!

What? Hands behind my back?

YUM!
Made dad proud :) Posted by Picasa

Getting the work done

We could not let my dad come and go without helping us
with baby preparations!
So he got in on the carseat installation.

And that seat is not going anywhere.

We worked up a great appetite and Don cooked up some
AWESOME ribs. It took 5 hours!
and was worth every hickory smoked second.

Cant wait to dig in.

And then they ate!

And as if i wasn't full enough.
we went to the fair in Burlingame after to find funnel cake!
But all we found were

some lousy piroshkis.

(and dad flashed his gang signs)
So we had crepes instead :) Posted by Picasa

Our day in SF

Dad wanted to explore the beatnick bookstores
and we found just the right place.

Funny thing, we learned at CityLights

It was meant to be a used bookstore, all paperback.
And now if you ask at the register. ***pants will tell you
there are no used books.

But go upstairs to the poetry room, and there will be 3 cases
of used and discount stuff.
SUCKERS!

So dad got a new dylan book, written by Sam Sheperd.
that he had in his 20s and a used book called "Asspants".

Which we affectionatley call the rude guy at the counter now.

We walked around Northbeach, caught a great latte and tiramisu
at Cafe Trieste..YUM and made our way to Coit tower.

There is Mt Tam in the background, where we got married.
Dad was happy to see the mountaintop with me
since he couldnt be there for the wedding.

And we stopped by Pete's to say hi to Jason
and drove around the Presidio. Ending up
in the Palace of Fine Arts. Posted by Picasa

The best parts of our itinerary was the menu!

Sunday: Eggs with rye toast, Hickory smoked ribs, corn, potatoes, crepes for dessert
Monday: Huevos Rancheros, lunch in the city, and Vietnamese at Sunflower

Thanks for your visit dad. I love you.

Baby Tiki Shower!

YUM YUM YUM!

Jessica and Stacia threw us a bash to celebrate our baby. The food was SO yummy
curried coconut chicken, Shish kebob, grilled fruit and veggies, blended yummy drinks,
and a cake!!
Okay, so my favorite part was the food but we also had a lot of fun.

Jessica must be listening intently...she is so polite

Stacia was having a rough day and needed a cocktail.
"Get this stupid umbrella out of my Bacardi!"
okay, i made that up

And we got to see Adrienne and Chantal who are also expecting.

We played pregnancy pictionary...what a hoot!

Ben took lots of pictures so you wont see him on our blog because he is always
behind the camera. but we still love him!

Thank you so much for the great party, the generous gifts and for celebrating our family!
XOXO
