night on the town

Don and I got to have a night out on saturday!
His office hosted a party at Cliff House in San Francisco so we got to get all gussied up (ahem- thanks Jill) and go out for the whole night!

Nana gave Madeline dinner and PUT HER TO SLEEP!
(for those of you who dont know, this is groundbreaking as we have never left her with anyone before, unless she was asleep.) So it was a big deal for us.
She slept 6 whole hours before her first wakeup so it was a good night for us.

Self Portrait

madeline has always been obsessed with our gadgets.
Toys? who needs 'em when you have a cell phone, remote, laptop and digital camera- mom and dad's toys!

So she has been sick this week and i am running out of indoor activities. We made playdough and had art time and played in the tub and made a fort and generally trashed the place looking for fun. So in a moment of weakness whilst cooking dinner, i let her hold the digital camera

and she took her own picture!

Bathing Beauty

We took a trip this past weekend to Healdsburg and hung out on a beautiful ranch. It was rainy all weekend and we played in the mud and saw the cows etc
needless to say the girl needed a bath!
So we threw her in the tub with her buddy, Noah. Here are the pics. Let them speak for themselves!

New Kitchen

Madeline has been working hard in the kitchen with me since she could crawl.
And now she has one of her own! Thank you Grandma!

She spends lots of time putting everything she can find in there. Opening and closing the oven door and looking inside at what she is "cooking" its a hoot.
