We are under contract

We are officially under contract!
Finished the home inspection and termite inspection today and
it looks pretty good

(apart from the kitchen remodel we already plan and some normal
40 year old home repair things)

We are set for a closing of September 1
WHAT! Does that mean Christmas in DC folks? ....
with a move in on the second- unless we decide to rent-back for a week and
let the sellers stay (they have 4 kids afterall so its easier for us to hotel-it
if we have to).

Anyway, i guess it means we are really staying in DC for a while, huh?

keep your fingers crossed for us that the mortgage company doesnt go out of business
or some terrible tragedy befall the housing market between now and then (oh wait that already happened).

County Fair and new threads

Thanks Aunt Ann (via Grammarose) for the little froggy outfit.
Madeline tore it out of the envelope and put it on immediately,
dressed it up in her favorite jewels and demanded photos!


Then we went to the county fair
no joke- there is even a monster truck rally and demolition derby!
We saw all sorts of livestock and even took madeline for her first Pony ride- BIG HIT!

You'll see her (very friendly and personable) pony escort, and then you'll hear her telling mommy "pony, pony".

She also loved the pigs - which were, mating i think- yeah that was fun.


We broke all of our parenting rules and let her have two crazy fair foods
1- her first taste of a drink not milk or water- LEMONADE!


and you guessed it - pure fat and sugar- Funnell cake! I am so embarassed.



and she loved every second of it "please more this...please more..."

But at least Montgomery county eliminated Trans Fats from food sales
so its pure lard! YAY
needless to say she didnt sleep till 10pm bc of her sugar rush! LOL
