one great advantage to attending a co-op preschool is you get to bring the siblings on field trips.

quote of the day

sitting at breakfast feeling grateful yesterday morning
i looked at madeline and bennett and said
'i am so glad that i have children'
and madeline looked at me and exuberantly said
"Especially THESE children!"

yes. especially. :)

a 4 year old and a two year old at play

Here is what we are up to these days.
Bennett talks a mile a minute and impresses everyone with is rich vocabulary and use of pronouns and expressiveness. He is obsessed with trains, particularly the Thomas variety of course, and loves and adores his big sister- mimicking her every move, phrase and nuance.
Madeline performs for us constantly and wows us all with her ability to act as both lyricist and songrwiter (modifying, of course, popular songs and showtunes). Currently her favorites are the Annie score and Bruno Mars- Amazing. She is growing by leaps and bounds in both her independence and wit. She is always making us laugh.
The two of them together have been intoxicating recently- watching them play off one another is priceless.

i particularly enjoy the way he throws his hands up in the end, as he walks away,
how she does her little booty wiggle in the beginning and cuts straight to the quick bow at the end to let us know she is done and should be applauded!
