Cunnignham Falls - Tent camping at its finest.

so cunningham falls leaves A lot to be desired. the sites are small, crowded and layed out on gravel. there are electric sites interspersed with regular tent sites, the bathroom was a stones throw from our tent but, while thats a good thing in some respects, it lost some of the ambiance for me and there seem to be few trees
somehow in the middle of this great forest, so there is virtually no privacy or separation between sites. Not the least of which is that our friends' site was flooded and the ranger could do little to help.
all in all i wouldnt go back for tent camping there but i'd love to go spend a weekend there for the family fun at the lake and waterfall.

Dinner that night was don's crowning moment as a carnivore.
We had tri-tip, we had an amazing fire that he started from scratch with no help, we had sweet potatoes roasting away. The sky OPENS up and dumps buckets down and instead of leaving camp just for dinner, my husband grabs my crocs, a windbreaker and a rinky dink umbrella- not for himself, but for the fire
and he made an awesome meal.

the kids after 2 days of camping raining fun.

You are a very brave woman!! I'm not sure I'd have it in me to take a small child and an infant camping! Looks like a lot of fun though!
