Maury to the rescue!!

Don went to california for vmworld this week and it happens to be that madeline decided to finish off her potty training this week (she had been stuck in a half-way there phase, and i was still changing 2-3 wet diapers a day for the past 12 months!!) which means lots and lots and lots of laundry and cleanups, then bennett began churning out teeth (he has two as of today but no pic of both yet) and rolling over and over, often pinning his arm under himself one way or the other during naptime and that coincides with relinquishing naps altogether or just taking the 20 min sort,

and madeline must be missing Don bc she has been waking up every hour of the night and forgoing all naps, in place of just being generally touchy and clingy and maybe a little silly and deranged.

between having to hold my sweet but hurting baby at all times and cope with a sleep deprived preschooler, im not surprised i had a migraine 2 days into this fiesta!

Which means mommy is going berserk.

Had it not been for Maury to clean every dish in the house, wash, fold and put away every stitch of clothing, carry grocery bags, open doors, wipe noses, pick up toys, play dollhouse and playdough and drawing and tea party and dress up and pretend school etc all day

nothing would have happened and we would all be dirty, hungry and grumpy.
... so at least we are not hungry or dirty!

We owe a debt of gratitude for all the help even though sometimes kids just demand mommy and sometimes grandma does not know how to do it exactly the way the finicky preschooler wants (or finicky mommy for that matter), you still were an amazing help even though you didnt think you were. We truly appreciate your visit and hope we havent scared you away from returning soon. We look forward to our last day together tomorrow. and i dont know how im going to manage without you here!

We love you Maury
xoxo

ps: most important is that you stayed home with the sleeping kids so i could run out and get ice cream sundaes. without those, halfway through this week to get me through, im afraid to know what would have happened!
