8 days a week...

8 days a week we love her.

Today Madeline is 8 days old. We survived a week but only with the help of Grandma number one and grandma number one. (They bought matching necklaces :)
We ate like kings and queens. I never had to touch a piece of laundry, nor clean
a dish or a make a bed. We slept long hours at night, able to feed Madeline as much as possible during the day. We updated our blog- as you well know. With photos and video. We even got a date in! A yummy sushi dinner and coffee at pete's.

Now, the grammas have been gone about 7 hours and we are sleepy. Don has already finished 2 loads of laundry, made some tea and mac and cheese and I just got my shower in now at 5pm.

Times are a changing.

But we looked at some mail, got on webcam with grandpa ric, invited a friend over tonight for a quick hello, made 2 phone calls and I even took a nap!- THANKS DON.

So- say a big thank you to grammas since we were able to update our friends and family across the globe because of their help here. We will try very hard to keep it up but it wont be easy.

Madeline stayed awake a lot longer today and she is picking up her head and moving all around. She pushes her legs out and tries to move. Don noticed that he put her on his chest- belly to belly and within minutes she had crept all the way up to his neck. She is so strong. She was laying on me and she picked up her head more than a few times and put her mouth on my nose and switched sides. She is a genious.

She is tracking her black and white shapes vertically and horizontally and we are also convinced that she smiles- not just as a practice but in response to being happy. She played in her Gymini today too and loved looking at the mirrors.
Genious.

Anyway, Don deserves a break and I think I am going to do something for him for a change. Can you say foot rub...?

More to come in the days ahead.
We love you!
xoxo
